REVENGE OF THE NERDS
Revenge of the Nerds is a 1984 American comedy film directed by Jeff Kanew and written by Steve Zacharias and Jeff Buhai. The film stars Robert Carradine, Anthony Edwards, Ted McGinley, and Bernie Casey. Set at the fictional Adams College, the film follows a group of socially awkward students who form their own fraternity to counter ongoing harassment from the dominant Alpha Beta fraternity and its sister sorority, Pi Delta Pi.
Inspired by a magazine article about computer programmers in Silicon Valley, the film was produced by 20th Century Fox and shot primarily at the University of Arizona and Old Tucson Studios. Made on a reported budget of $6–8 million, it was released theatrically on July 20, 1984, and grossed approximately $40.9 million in the United States and Canada.
Upon release, Revenge of the Nerds received generally negative reviews, with criticism directed at its sexual content and use of racial and gender stereotypes, though some reviewers praised its underdog premise and satirical elements. In the decades since, the film has been reassessed as a cult comedy and a notable entry in the “slobs vs. snobs” subgenre of 1980s teen films. Its legacy has included three sequels, an unaired television pilot, attempted remakes and reboots, and the founding of a real-life Lambda Lambda Lambda fraternity inspired by the film.

REVENGE OF THE NERDS II: NERDS IN PARADISE
Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise is a 1987 American comedy film, a sequel to Revenge of the Nerds (1984), and the second installment in the Revenge of the Nerds series. Its cast features most of the main actors from its predecessor, including Robert Carradine, Anthony Edwards (in a smaller role), Curtis Armstrong, Larry B. Scott, Timothy Busfield, Donald Gibb, and Andrew Cassese. This film also provided an early starring role for Courtney Thorne-Smith. Other cast members include Bradley Whitford, Ed Lauter, and Barry Sobel.
One of the movie trailers parodies the trailer of Poltergeist II: The Other Side. In the Nerds version, Robert Carradine‘s character, Lewis, turns and says “We’re back!” and laughs. 38 Special provided the title track “Back to Paradise“. The film was followed by Revenge of the Nerds III: The Next Generation (1992).

American Pie is a 1999 American teen comedy film directed and co-produced by Paul Weitz and written by Adam Herz. The coming-of-age story follows a group of high school classmates who make a pact to lose their virginity before they graduate.
After the success of Wes Craven‘s horror teen film Scream (1996), Herz began developing the script for American Pie, originally titled Untitled Teenage Sex Comedy That Can Be Made For Under $10 Million That Most Readers Will Probably Hate But I Think You Will Love. A bidding war between major film studios ensued, and Universal Pictures won the film’s rights in 1998. First-time directors Chris and Paul Weitz were attached as directors for the film, although only Paul was credited. Under a new title of Great Falls, filming took place from July to September 1998. The picture originally received an NC-17 rating from the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA); edits were made to secure an R rating. The film’s title was later changed to American Pie.
Released theatrically by Universal Pictures on July 9, 1999, in the United States, American Pie initially received mixed reviews from critics, who were polarized on the raunchy humor, but praised the performances. Nonetheless, the film was a box office success, grossing $235.5 million worldwide on a $10 million budget. American Pie revived the teen sex comedy genre for the late 1990s. The film’s success also spawned a franchise, including three theatrical sequels American Pie 2, American Wedding, and American Reunion, and five direct-to-video film series American Pie Presents, consisting of Band Camp, The Naked Mile, Beta House, The Book of Love, and Girls’ Rules.

American Wedding (known as American Pie 3: The Wedding or American Pie: The Wedding, in some countries) is a 2003 American sex comedy film written by Adam Herz and directed by Jesse Dylan. It is the sequel to American Pie (1999) and American Pie 2 (2001), and the third of the American Pie franchise.
The film’s main plot focuses on the wedding ceremony of Jim Levenstein (Jason Biggs) and Michelle Flaherty (Alyson Hannigan), while its subplot centers on Steve Stifler (Seann William Scott), and his outrageous antics including his attempt to organize a bachelor party, teaching Jim to dance for the wedding, and competing with Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas) to win the heart of Michelle’s sister, Cadence (January Jones). It is the last film in the series to be written by Herz, who conceptualized the franchise, and also the only theatrical film in the series in which Chris Klein (Oz), Chris Owen (Sherman), Mena Suvari (Heather), Tara Reid (Vicky), Shannon Elizabeth (Nadia) and Natasha Lyonne (Jessica) do not appear.
Released on August 1, 2003 by Universal Pictures, American Wedding is the lowest-grossing installment in the theatrical American Pie film series, although it was still a box office success, grossing $231 million worldwide on a $55 million budget. Like the previous two films, American Wedding received mixed reviews from critics, who were again divided on its humor, but praised the cast’s performances, especially Scott’s.[5]
The franchise was later expanded into a series of direct-to-DVD standalone spin-offs, under the umbrella title American Pie Presents, that began with the release of Band Camp (2005). A direct sequel to Wedding, titled American Reunion, was released in 2012.

It is the second installment in the American Pie Presents film series, a spin-off of the American Pie franchise. John White stars as Erik Stifler, a high school senior given a hall pass from his girlfriend (Jessy Schram) after he plans to visit his cousin (Steve Talley) to run a mile naked. Christopher McDonald co-stars as Erik’s father and Eugene Levy plays family friend Noah Levenstein.
The Naked Mile was released direct-to-DVD internationally on December 12, 2006, and in the United States on December 19, 2006. The film was a financial success, generating US$27.46 million in United States sales. It received generally negative reviews from film critics. It was followed by Beta House (2007).
